In your area:
Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit our stall in Spindles recently. The issues you raised have been passed on to the police and council, and we will work together to solve them and make your neighbourhood a better and safer place to live.
One shopper raised concerns about antisocial behaviour around Emerald Drive. Antisocial behaviour is the main issue for residents across the neighbourhood and we have been working hard to tackle it.
Operation Algebra has been running, which has involved increased patrols in our hotspot areas. Officers have also been speaking to young people about the consequences of their behaviour and some young people have been referred to Oldham Council’s Anti-social Behaviour Team.
We have also been speaking to shoppers at Tesco, Huddersfield Road, about what’s being done to crackdown on the problem and encourage parents to make sure they know what their children are up to.
I hope residents feel reassured that we will do all we can to make their neighbourhood safer. Please keep telling us your concerns – after all, we can’t solve the issues if they are not reported to us in the first place.
You can get in touch with us by phone or email or by coming along to a community meeting or surgery. You can also fill out the form below.
Thanks for visiting oldhamsays.com and make sure you keep having your say on your town.
