In your area:
The Oldham West Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to tackle the issues that matter to you. Antisocial behaviour and drug dealing are top of the list for many of you and we have been working hard to crackdown on these problems.
In Coldhurst, police recently teamed up with housing officers to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour. During a week of activity, officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and First Choice Homes Oldham patrolled the Coldhurst Hollow area following concerns from residents. Officers visited problem tenants, including an address on Anchor Street where hi-fi and audio equipment was seized following numerous complaints from the neighbours about noise. Six people were arrested for offences including drug dealing and abstraction of electricity. Officers also seized a car for having no insurance and recovered drugs and cash.
This is a great example of the police, community and partner agencies working together to tackle the issues residents have told us about. It is a credit to the local residents that we are able to identify and target those people who are involved in crime and antisocial behaviour.
If you have a crime or antisocial behaviour problem where you live, then please get in touch with us on the contact details on this page. Or why not stop and chat to one of us when we’re out and about in your neighbourhood.
