Antisocial behaviour continues to be the main concern for residents in Saddleworth and Lees.

In response we have continued to run Operation Divert, which involves additional patrols on Friday and Saturday evenings. Officers have carried out test-purchase operations and seized a large amount of alcohol from underage drinkers. Directions to leave have also been issued and parents have been contacted to pick up their children.

Tackling antisocial behaviour is a priority for the team, so I’m pleased that this operation has resulted in a 23 per cent drop in incidents over the last 12 months.

As part of Our Service Promise we will continue to listen to the community so it’s really important that people tell us what they think about the work officers are doing to keep them safe.

You can find out what other priority issues we are focusing on this website.

If you don’t agree, you can phone, email or fill out the form below. Or you can stop and chat to one the team when we’re out on patrol in your neighbourhood.

You can also come along and have your say at one our village a month events. We’ve had great success with this initiative over the last 12 months with dozens of residents turning out to chat to the police, councillors and partner agencies. The next events will be in Lees, week beginning Monday 17 January. So why not come along and have your say about crime and antisocial behaviour where you live. You can find out more about what’s going during this week by getting in touch with us.

Thanks
